I created this on the anniversary of my mother’s death in 2024, and is part of the INK collection.
Ink and bister on paper.
OF COURSE… Â
I enjoyed creating this Japanese ink painting for three simple reasons 👇 Â
Firstly, because ink is such a simple material. And turned me into a total minimalist. Suddenly… every brushstroke counted. And every line had a purpose. Â
Second, because of the way ink flowed across the paper. It created movement and emotion in a way that NO OTHER material could.
Third, the contrast of black on white. It’s quiet, yet so powerful. Â
And above all, creating with ink felt like a form of meditation to me. It brought me peace. In short… ink is THE BEST. And I can’t wait to continue working with it in the future.

This piece is totally unique and part of an exclusive collection. So, once it’s gone, you won’t find another like it anywhere. That’s the beauty of it..
