I made this piece in 2024 at my studio in Hoogstraten as part of the INK collection.

OF COURSE…  

I was inspired by the Vietnam War: there was so much destruction and loss on both sides. And I thought to myself, “who really won in the end?”

And when I realized that the answer was ‘nobody’, I created the work ‘We Won?’

In addition, I wanted to ask everyone the difficult question I asked myself:

‘Who wins the war anyway, when all that remains is death and destruction?’
