Flower triptych - Yellow šŸ‘‡

Curious about how I made this masterpiece?

Check out the FAQ below where I answer all the common questions!

I created this work in 2024 as part of my ‘Precious Metals and Other Exquisite Waste’ collection.

I used crown caps and drink cans on MDF.

YESā€¦

It took me five years to create this painting. Let me explain:

The technique I used to make this one wasn’t fully developed when I started creating. So, I had to develop it along the way by refining the colors and materials.

Which is why it took me so long. The work continuously evolved.

And Henri Matisseā€™s statement, ā€œLa couleur surtout et peut-ĆŖtre plus encore que le design est une libĆ©rationā€ (Color above all, perhaps even more than design, is a liberation) played a big role in that.

It inspired me to free myself from all limitations and let the colors speak.

Duh šŸ‘‡

Thanks to the metallic material, the work looks different throughout the day depending on the light.

So, if you donā€™t look at this work for a couple of hours and then you come back, itā€™ll look like a new work. Itā€™s literally like owning multiple artworks in one! It always feels fresh and exciting. And youā€™ll never get bored of it.
