Les Mariés, after Marc Chagall (Les mariés de la Tour Eiffel)👇

Curious about how I made this masterpiece?

I completed this work in 2023, and it’s part of my ‘Recycling the Masters’ series.

I used a mix of bottle caps, metal lids, drink cans, and tin boxes, materials that most people discard without a second thought. But by being creative, I used them to bring Chagall’s dreamy style to life.

YES…

I always loved Marc Chagall’s *Les mariés de la Tour Eiffel*. And knew I had to work with it. After some experimenting, a few weeks later, I finished creating the beautiful artwork.

Which I consider to be an ode to Chagall’s dreamy style. While – surprise, surprise – highlighting pressing issues like waste and consumption.

The dimensions (135 cm by 150 cm) are almost exactly the ones of the original painting. Which is super cool.

Even cooler? The original painting hangs in the Centre Pompidou in Paris. So, having this piece (even though it’s a remake) in your home is like having a slice of Parisian art history.
