I made this piece in 2022 as part of *The Symbols of Unity/ Signs of Hope* collection.

This work uses bottle caps, metal lids, and pharmaceutical pills on MDF.

YES…

I got inspired by the waste I saw piling up in my own home. And the everyday objects I was throwing away without a second thought. 

It triggered something in me, and I wanted to make people more aware of how much we waste. Which is why I created this work.

Originally, I used medicinal pills, but they absorbed moisture. So, I had to remove them and to my surprise, the work became even better. 

So much better that it became one of my favorite pieces.

P.S. I lied. It’s not one of my favorite ones. It’s my favorite one.

Because I love how the colors pop within its floating frame. Which wasn’t the case with the original work.
